About Cornelia McNamara Flowers
Located at 2130 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622, Cornelia McNamara Flowers operates as a florist serving Chicago in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.
Hours are published for 5 days a week. The most common schedule is 10 amβ6 pm. It is closed on Saturday, Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (773) 252-2276. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is corneliamcnamara.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 5.0 out of 5 on Google across 46 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded florists in Chicago.
Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

FLOWER ARRANGEMENT CLASS: I recently attended a flower arranging class with my daughter, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The instructor, Cornelia McNamara is incredibly passionateβnot only about the art of floral design but also about her own flower farm and the joy of teaching others. The freshly cut flowers, sourced directly from The Chicago Flower Farm, were absolutely stunning. From the vibrant, deep pink, red, yellow peonies to the delicate filler greens, every stem was fresh and high-quality. Cornelia provided a beautiful environment for us, complete with a delicious charcuterie plate and plenty of bottled water, which made the session feel like a special retreat.Beyond the bouquets, it was a great way to make new friendships with fellow flower lovers. We both took our arrangements home and now enjoy watching the blooms slowly open and show off their full beauty. If you're looking for a creative, relaxing, and high-quality workshop, a fun date night, a bridesmaid luncheon activity, birthday parties, mother/daughter dateβ¦β¦.the list of fun activities goes on and onβ¦..I canβt recommend Corneliaβs classes enough!

BEST FLORIST EVER! I couldnβt have asked for anything more for our wedding! I cannot begin to mention the amount of comments we got on our flowers at our wedding!!!! She has such a unique eye when it comes to design and not mention sheβs an absolute sweetheart! Cornelia also paid close attention to our sweet darling of a ring bearer! She made sure Susie was dressed up to the occasion!!! After the wedding I ended up with David Austin roses to plant in my yard as a constant memory of our ceremony!!!

On July 5, 2025, we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary. Forgoing the traditional gold, our theme was "cultivate your garden." Cornelia and her team transformed a plain white tent into a floral wonderland. A variety of flowers adorned the room with pastels of lavender, blue, pink, salmon, white. Lush plants were placed at the bars, food stations and doorways to provide a lovely framework. Cornelia is extremely gifted in her knowledge of plants and her creative touches are truly remarkable. Her hard work made the room glow in beauty.

The Cornelia McNamara Flowers team created beautiful arrangements for my local Chicago wedding at Promontory Point last July! It was important to me to get flowers that didnβt have a huge environmental impact, so finding Cornelia McNamara and her Chicago flower farm was a dream come true! I loved that all the flowers were grown locally and didnβt have the huge environmental footprint of flowers that are flown in from warmer climates. Because this is a local business, the process for ordering was less formulaic than it is at other florists. Instead of filling out an online form and picking from a few arrangement options, I emailed and talked with Cornelia directly, shared my inspiration pictures, and trusted her team of professionals to do an amazing job (which they absolutely did!). Thoughtful details like having the boutonnieres use magnetic fasteners and having the corsages on beautiful diamantine bracelets that were easy to take on and off made everything seamless. Even when I made a last minute addition of ten centerpieces two weeks before the wedding, the team was super accommodating and everything turned out beautifully! While these flowers were not the cheapest option av

Curator of magic and beauty! I worked with Cornelia for floral design for my wedding on 9/5/20. For the original restaurant venue, she provided a lovely bohemian vision; and then everything changed due to health regulations. The venue moved to my home and Cornelia was integral to reimagining the space and giving it new life to host an intimate wedding. Cornelia visited multiple times to hear my perspective and she put so much creative thought into every nook. Her excitement to try new things truly lifted my spirits during this uncertain time. The day of the wedding, her team was prompt and professional. With their stunning florals and foliage, they transformed the main rooms, courtyard, and patio to create a whimsical, soft, and flowing experience. Our guests were in awe and my husband and I received ample compliments. I loved sharing that she sourced from her very own Chicago Flower Farm and that her practices are sustainable. I am looking forward to working with Cornelia again and I will definitely be visiting Chicago Flower Farm to beautify our house soon.
